The Donaukanal, a popular gathering spot both for the Viennese and visitors to Vienna alike, is just a few minutes’ walk from our hotel, making it a great choice when you are ready for a stroll or to go jogging. The Viennese suburb of Grinzing and famous Kahlenberg mountain, from where you can enjoy wonderful vistas across the city skyline, offer the prospect of pleasant walks in a verdant setting. To reach them both, simply hop aboard the No. 38 tram.
Excursions
Numerous excursion opportunities also await you in the surrounding countryside: whether you prefer to visit a traditional Viennese wine tavern, take a Danube ferry ride to the verdant countryside of the Wachau, or simply enjoy a stroll through the Donauauen - there is essentially no limit to your recreational possibilities.
Sightseeing
The Ringstrasse, with its many historic buildings (the university, the town hall, the Art & Natural History Museums, Hofburg Palace, State Opera etc.) is just a few minutes away on the D tram. (Your Vienna Card also includes one free guided tour of the Ring!) Famous Schönbrunn Palace, with its imposing park grounds and the Gloriette, is just a short ride away on the U4 underground line. The No. 5 tram will take you directly to the Vienna Prater, with its amusement park and world-famous giant Ferris wheel. Very close by - actually within walking distance - are the Freud Museum in the Berggasse, Palais Liechtenstein and the Strudlhofstiege stairway.
