Hotel Donauzentrum is also located close to the Alte Donau and Donauinsel recreation areas, affording a wide range of opportunities for your sporting activities (e.g. cycling, jogging and mini golf), along with aquatic sports (waterskiing, sailing, swimming). Across from the hotel, in the Donauzentrum, is the Club Danube fitness centre, while the exclusive Holmes Place fitness centre is just 500 metres away.
The most beautiful golf courses in and around Vienna are just a few minutes’ drive - these include the Wien Freudenau Golf Club, Spillern Golf Club, Club Danube Golf Wien and the Wienerberg Golf Club. We would be more than happy to set up tee times for you and will even arrange a shuttle to get you to your chosen course.

Numerous excursion opportunities also await you in the area around Vienna: whether you prefer to visit a traditional Viennese wine tavern, take a Danube ferry ride to the verdant countryside of the Wachau, or simply enjoy a stroll through the Donauauen - there is essentially no limit to your recreational possibilities.

The Donauzentrum and Donauplex are a veritable shopping paradise, true enhancements to your Hotel Donauzentrum experience, inviting you to stroll and shop in the most pleasant atmosphere imaginable. The Donauplex is a constant source of pleasant surprises, awaiting you with a rich variety of culinary and entertainment opportunities, including a cinema, pool hall etc.
Directly across from the hotel is a station on the U1 underground line, taking you in just 10 minutes to the heart of the city with its countless sights and attractions (State Opera, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace etc.). The biggest amusement park in all of Austria, the Prater, with its famous giant Ferris wheel, is just a short walk away (25 minutes, or simply ride three stops on the U1).
