    Ljubljana on the river

What the Eiffel Tower for Paris is the Ljubljanica for Ljubljana. The turquoise river shapes the cityscape and the life of the city. In summer, the banks are the meeting point of the youngsters. Definitely go on a boat trip with the little ones!

Ljubljanski grad - Up to the fortress

Every visitor to Ljubljana visits the medieval fortress. The castle itself is beautiful, but the way up through the well-kept park is the real highlight. You can take the glazed funicular railway back to the city.

The busy market on Vodnik Platz

Nowhere is more colourful in Ljubljana than on this open-air market. Plants for the balcony, cheese from the Soča valley, fish, dried meat, street food from all over the world. Try it out and enjoy the hustle and bustle. Every Wednesday there is an organic market. With the exception of Sundays and holidays, the market is open all day every day.
