Innsbruck, a paradise for children

Innsbruck has an absolute flood of offers ready for children, so you can definitely put together an extensive family programme.

    Tiroler Landestheater

A whole theatre series with Erwin! What, you don't know Erwin yet? Erwin, the charming monster in a striped sweater, now has his own theatre series at the Tiroler Landestheater. On selected Sundays you can see Erwin in unique plays, which are really only performed once and are therefore something very special. Your children from the age of 5 will love Erwin. Besides Erwin there is also a lot on the programme, such as a charmingly staged Pinocchio!
(Theatre performances are in German only).

    Nordkette Perspective Way

If you want to see Innsbruck from above, you do not have to do it on two boards. The Norwegian-American architecture company Snøhetta has designed a route on the Nordkette mountains where nature and architecture interact perfectly. Attention: allow at least 45 minutes to walk and be amazed.

    Bergisel ski jump

A ski jumping tower which received the Austrian State Prize for Architecture: the people of Innsbruck were delighted. And most kids will also be happy once they have reached the top by lift and know that they can go down in it again - and don't have to jump off the impressive ski jump. By the way, the hill record is 138m (Michael Hayböck, 2015).

    Audioversum

"Science to Go" - is what you get to take away in the Audioversum Science Center for the whole family. Hands-on training is what is asked for here, as well as a dose of entrepreneurial spirit. Ever navigated through your own ear? Then it's high time. Or did you know that our brains are as soft as butter and that when you wear a headset, the bacteria in your ear multiply very fast? Fun for the whole family!

    Alpine Zoo

The special feature of the Innsbruck Alpine Zoo is that it is so high and open 365 days a year. If you do not mind walking a few metres uphill, but you can easily walk from the hotel to the alpine zoo. The new "Animahl" bistro was opened in 2016 (you should go there even just for the beautiful terrace). Cool: the website features videos which visitors have made about the animals. That would be an assignment for the kids!
