As the name suggests, everything revolves around photography as an art form. And the exhibitions shown in the Fotohof not only treat this art form aesthetically, but also from a cultural-historical perspective. Rating: recommended!

Progressive art is the be all and end all of the Museum der Moderne on Mönchsberg. In this museum everything is spectacular. Apart from the breathtaking works, the path to the museum, the view, the architecture of the building, the shop and the connected restaurant M32 are all an experience!
 

The Ropac Gallery is one of the main player in Salzburg's art scene. Hardly any other gallery offers such a concentrated and exciting curated insight into modern art. Definitely worth a visit!

The focus of this gallery is on artistic and documentary photography. Not only the works of renowned, but also up-and-coming photographers can be admired here.

The museum sheds light on the "lost generation". It gives space to the artists - space that was denied to them during their lifetime. Their art works tell moving stories. And for this reason, the private collection was made accessible to the public.
