Reserve your bench and breathe in history

Beethovenplatz, not far from the Stubenring, is a small square with a park. Around it you will find mportant buildings such as the Academic Grammar School and the Gutmann Palace. Diagonally opposite is the Wiener Konzerthaus. And the Beethoven monument stands in the middle of the square. It was turned around 180 degrees so that it is now facing the Lothringerstraße.

The Maria-Theresien-Platz is situated between the Natural History and Kunsthistorisches Museums.  The Museumsquartier is only a few metres away. The square is therefore the perfect place to rest your tired feet after a visit to one of the museums or catch some sunshine. The Maria-Theresia statue is right in the centre – the largest Habsburg monument in Vienna.

The square in front of the Neue Burg was witness to many historical events. In the 19th century it served the Viennese as a recreational area, rallies and outdoor exhibitions were held here under the National Socialists and during the 2nd Republic military celebrations took place here. Even today, many events are held on Heldenplatz. It is a historical meeting place which should not be missed when visiting Vienna.

The Minoritenplatz is a very special square in Vienna. Situated behind the Volksgarten, it is surrounded by historic buildings. Here one palace is more beautiful than the other. The square itself is dominated by the Minoriten Church. Visitors are immediatedly transformed back into another time. Once here, the atmosphere invites you to linger.
