We are very happy that we chose Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen for our Christmas holiday. Only positive thoughts about it. Our room (premium), was large, very clean, always warm and had great view of Vienna from the 8th floor. The hotel employees was also excellent, discreet and helpful. The services we received correspond to a 5 star hotel. Highly recommend!

It was a lovely hotel. I enjoy our big orange room very much. The tub was lovely. The staff was very nice. The bed was a little hard for me and I wish for healthier options in the restaurant.

The property is not in walking distance from city center. According with the site it is 15 min walk from the city center. That was the reason why we book it. when we arrived the staff inform us that the distance is more than 25 min. That was a huge disappointment. It like misleading

A nice, decent and friendly hotel, situated perfectly in Vienna, with great sound-proofing for the rooms. Strongly recommend the suite or premium rooms at the 8th floor. We used tram and u-bahn to get around, which was 50 meters away. Clean hotel and rooms, friendly and service oriented staff.

- check-in was at 3pm in the afternoon and I arrived in the morning so had to wait long hours outside tired and jetlagged. what's funny is that the check out was at 12pm so you want guests in the room late but out earlier - that's dodgy. - did not provide complementary water - it was sparking water but if i really wanted a cardonated drink i would just have coke or something why sparkling water, i wanted normal tap water and also there was a champagn bottle which did not make sense because I don't drink, could have provided something else like some juice etc. - room had no slippers or shower shoes and since the carpet was dirty i couldn't just walk barefoot in the room and shower. Would have loved for a 4 star hotel to provide other complimentary items in the bath rooms like one-off razors, I mean thats the basics. An all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and body wash and hand wash was kinda stingy for a 4 star hotel. - the bed pillow had a red stain smudged on it at the bottom left of the pillow and had a 10cm hair on it and it can't have been mine because I wasn't bleeding and there was no one else in the room, the irony was that I noticed this after the room was cleaned - shouldn't that people have been taken out for cleaning? - respectfully the wifi sucked! all guests who stayed at the hotel and those who visited used the same wifi network which was so slow I couldn't even connect my laptop to do my work, it was slow and kept disconnecting. I was forced to buy data to use my phone and my laptop. For a 4-star hotel, you could do a lot better for a 7 night stay that cost $AUD2K+ with basic amenities.

Overall an enjoyable stay, following our first visit a few years ago. The hotel is well presented and all the staff very welcoming. Front of house, bar, restaurant and cleaning staff all provided efficient and courteous service. Would recommend to anyone visiting Vienna who require a relaxed experience.

The hotel rooms are spacious, the staff are generally friendly and the location is excellent. I stayed for five nights and did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. However, the stay was overshadowed by several serious shortcomings that are not acceptable for a four-star property. 1. Ironing facilities The hotel does not provide irons or ironing boards to rooms, and instead directs all guests to a shared “ironing room” with two boards for the entire hotel. The equipment was old and not particularly clean. I was told by a manager that this was due to fire safety. If that is the case, the rooms should be renovated to comply with safety requirements, rather than asking guests to carry clothes through the hotel and use a utility room on another floor. This practice is below the standards of even a three-star property and is totally unacceptable for a four-star hotel. 2. Climate control / AC The climate control in my room was effectively disabled in November. Even when set to the lowest temperature, the room remained between 23–24°C and the only way to cool it enough to sleep was to keep the window open. I reported this issue, and it took multiple follow-ups before anyone came to check it. Staff confirmed the system is centrally limited, and despite attempts an override could not be done. A room move was offered, but it was clear the issue was systemic rather than room-specific. 3. Service responsiveness and solutions The confusion over the AC settings, the ironing policy, and the lack of a clear solution gave the impression that the hotel is not equipped to deal with very basic guest comfort issues. A four-star property should never leave a guest waiting for assistance, or be unable to provide a simple resolution. 4. General cost-cutting approach There were other details that contributed to a negative impression: slightly limited gym (the only resistance machine was missing parts), no complimentary water, cheap soap and shampoo dispensers, and very thin towels. These may sound small individually, but they reinforce the feeling that the hotel prioritises cost-saving over guest experience. These are not minor inconveniences but fundamental service and facility issues that are simply not compatible with the hotel’s advertised category. I have stayed in many hotels of all price points, and I have had better experiences in budget properties. Overall, this was the most stressful hotel stay I have had, and I would not return.

This hotel used to be much greater than it is now. Rooms had minibars, lounge on executive floor was so helpfil, nesspresso machines in rooms too. Now all that is gone. Also the occasional room upgrades for regular customers are long gone. Some narrow minded motel-oriented mentality had regrettabbly ruined the fine hotelier that hotel once represented.

This is a very friendly, clean and comfortable hotel with all the facilities you are likely to need. It is in the right place for a quick hop into the main attractions, you have a choice of a tram or train if you don't want to walk. There is a welcoming bar which is just right for replenishing your energy at the end of tiring day discovering all the great attractions. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Stay in Hotel is always comfortable. But sometimes cans for not recycling available were left in the room. Would you handle these cans ? I understand that the way to handle for recycling available can and non recycling hat became strict. However others garbage, for example packages from foods which I bring in the room are picked up. These garbage are not odd and comes nomal while stay in room like other hotel. While stay in Hotel, I don't like so much to think about can handling. Sometimes I feel as if I was still in my house. I understand you, but I believe that this kind of can handling is not so problem for Hotel. Whenever I stay in Hotel, I spend 5 or 6 days. Therefore I care a little.

Access to Vienna's old town was also excellent. If the indoor environment had been a little better, it would have been perfect, but I think this is a recommended hotel for anyone traveling to Vienna.

I came away with mixed feelings. The staff were excellent, the room was comfortable and clean. However the breakfast was unacceptable, and the lack of mini fridge or room service was disappointing. Oh and randomly my room key stopped working - not once, not twice, but three times. I take extra care with magnetic strip keys due to previous experience with them failing, often due to proximity to mobile phones - so this is very surprising and really should not be an issue in a modern hotel. Non magnetic keys are widely available.

Week long holiday. Great sleeps! Beds are top notch. Always seems calm hotel once you come back from a tourist day! Location is ideal for tram and train options. I used to have to travel for business a lot, Austrian Trend Savoyen is my favourite!

The hotel overall is good, but the bath tower are so old and worn out, and rough, using it feel like sand papers…the towers should be replaced

We have a very nice and comfortable stay at your hotel. We enjoyed sauna and gym. It was nice to have everything near or at hand - city,train, bus, cycles exct. Three days and so much to see in Wien, so hotel hours were few but enjoyed all these moments.

Nice structure, kind and helpful staff, good service overall but more attention should be paid to maintenance. I'm going back to Vienna for New Year's Eve and would like to stay with you if the price is competitive, but I'm thinking about it for the above.

We stayed at Hotel Savoyen Vienna between August 12–15, 2025. Overall, it is a fine hotel with comfortable rooms and a good atmosphere. However, our arrival was less smooth due to problems with the electronic room keys. A bellboy kindly escorted us to our room, but we were told we would need an escort again just to lock it when leaving. The next day, when I asked for assistance, the front desk curtly told me to come down and pick up newly programmed keys, instead of sending them to the room. While the hotel itself is pleasant, the service at the concierge/front desk could have been more accommodating and considerate.

The hotel is an easy to arrive from the airport via the train as the station is a 5 minute walk . Found the room to be extremely large , the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a tub and shower . It’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Vienna Overall it was very quite and clean I’d recommend this for a stay in vienna

The hotel was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and very helpful in getting our travel arrangements settled for checkout day. There was always water in the lobby, which was really a nice touch for the hot weather. The only criticism I have is that the shower head has to be pointed at the wall (away from the shower door) or it floods the bathroom. It's very hard to shower that way, so we ended up using a LOT of towels every day to soak up the mess. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great location just out of the centre but easily within reach on foot, via tram or U-Bahn and immediately adjacent to the Belvedere. Very quiet and restful at night with good quiet aircon. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is excellent. The staff is friendly and able to answer any questions about the hotel or the city. They recommended good restaurants, provided information about transportation options around the city, and places to visit. They have buffet breakfast with choices for every taste. Our room was very clean and spacious. Excellent location near the Belvedere castle and the city center. Three minutes from a train station the connects any city location, even the airport
