Although formally I received the booked room category, the room did not really meet my expectations. I paid a higher rate due to a high-demand period, but the room felt more like a lower-ground-floor room: the windows were small and placed high, there was no real view, and almost no natural daylight. As mentioned above, the temperature could not be regulated properly and the room was too warm. I also felt that information about the hotel was not communicated clearly. Even basic details, such as breakfast location or available facilities, had to be asked at the reception. There was no phone or tablet in the room, and the digital guest directory was limited to minibar prices and room service only. Some bathroom amenities were not replenished during the stay. The Wi-Fi quality was average. It was not critical for me, but for someone who needs to work from the hotel, it might not be the best option.

A very nice, clean place with super friendly staff. The entry area and access, though, needs to be improved for people with disabilities.

Excellent price/location/room/schloss café und Leistung Verhältnis. Friendly and service oriëntated staff. We have stayed 7 days: every day it was our firm homebase for visiting Wien. We were looking just for top organised hotel basics for a steady stay, in always a busy and energy consuming city trip. We found it in Jänner 2026 at Maximilian. P.S. Always try Wiener Melange (or orther variants) with Apfel Strudel (or other Konditorei) in dass Schloss Café in the afternoon. It's great.

Exceptionally Comfortable & Perfectly Located – A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Maximilian Wien My stay at Hotel Maximilian Wien was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel blends modern comfort with elegant, imperial‑inspired design, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious, impeccably clean, and offer excellent amenities such as air‑conditioning, high‑quality bedding, and stylish bathrooms with thoughtful touches like complimentary toiletries. Thank you, overall the stay was fantastic! small nuances did not spoil the overall impression. Hotel has very good sound protection from the street and from neighbors, spacious, warm and clean rooms, helpful staff, delicious breakfasts!
