Apart from the unhelpfulness and aloofness of some of the Reception staff, we had a very pleasant stay. When we arrived, I went inside to check in, the Receptionist checked us in, she didn't make it clear which room we were in, so after wandering around for about 5 minutes, a Porter then asked which room we were in, he them showed me where the lifts were, I took the luggage upstairs, I then came back down to collect my husband who was still outside where is was very cold. My husband is in a wheelchair, and I wasn't told when i made the booking that there are steps leading to the Reception desk, we were there then told that there was a ramp at the other end of the building, BUT, it was through the Bar/Café, not a good look, as it was very busy. There is a lift from the pavement to the Reception, but we weren't told that until we had been there 3 days, and it was a Porter that told us, the Reception staff should have told us about the lift. They did know this as when I made the booking I told them that my husband was in a wheelchair. When we eventually got to our room, we were wanting Room Service, we didn't find a Menu, so I went back down stairs to enquire, no room service, just the Menu in the 1 bar that was open, (it was a Monday night with a function going on) We also found that this wasn't true, as we were going down to dinner, there was a room service trolley outside a room on our floor. We wanted a table, but as they were so busy, it would be at least an hours wait, so we booked a table and the staff phoned us when a table became available. The Bar staff, Alexander and a young lady, ( I can't remember her name, sorry) were working really hard but made our meal very enjoyable, as they were very friendly and made us feel welcome, taking an interest in why we were there, they also gave us some recommendations. My husband and I have both worked in hotels, so we know what is like. We would stay again, but I hope the Reception staff have some more training.

Very nice. The ballroom was just wonderful! possibly the best place I've ever eaten breakfast. One thing, you need to supply a PC or Laptop for customer use, it can be located in the reception/bar area and easily secured to a table.
