Vienna is always an eye-catcher. Each season has its own typical characteristics, which lend a beautiful unique touch to the romantic Viennese scenery. Around Valentine's Day, when love is literally in the air, the small streets and alleys in the city simply seem more romantic than usual. After an extensive breakfast for two, the programme for the day is a pleasant walk with lots of fresh air guaranteed.
A walk around the Ring can be very relaxing. A small fact on the side: 2,000 avenue trees are lined up along the Rngstrasse and make it the green lung of the city centre. Anyone who has had enough of walking and the countless monuments can simply sit down in one of the two pavilions in the city park or in the Volksgarten or Burggarten. Incidentally, the trained gardener Emperor Franz I was personally very interested in the design of the two adjacent gardens.
The city is particularly romantic on the Wilhelminenberg. Once you have reached the Jubiläumswarte with its sightseeing platform you can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of Vienna and Schönbrunn. And you can easily forget about the city for a short time on one of the city’s many marked walking trails, where you can forget the city for a short time and perhaps watch some of the wood's inhabitants.
Schönbrunn and the district of Hietzing were not only the former home of Austrian sovereigns, they also provide a wonderful backdrop for a walk. The entire district looks like a small charming village that has nothing in common with the neighbouring city. The memorable walls and avenues are particularly enchanting in autumn, from the zoo with its many new-born baby animals or the beautiful gardens of Schönbrunn Palace - romance wherever you look.
