Declaration on accessibility (Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH)

Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH endeavors to make its websites and documents (PDFs) accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act as amended (BaFG) for the implementation of the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882).

The standard for accessible web content - WCAG 2.1 - was adhered to as far as possible (minimum score via Google Lighthouse of 90%).

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons:

  • Incompatibility with accessibility regulations:

PDF documents that are not yet accessible are available for download on the website. If you need help with non-accessible PDF documents, please contact hospitality@verkehrsbuero.com. In this case, we will try to make the content available to you in a suitable manner as far as possible.

Keyboard and screen reader capability may only be partially met on websites.

Documents and messages created by individual employees and sent to the end customer/guest or partner may not be accessible. Individual accessibility can be requested at hospitality@verkehrsbuero.com.

Automatically generated alternative texts for images may be vague and imprecise, so that they do not adequately describe the image content.

Digital catalogs (flipping books) are not barrier-free. However, all content is also available on the respective hotel websites in accessible format.

Embedded elements from social media (Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), which are integrated on the homepage and some module pages, are used to display images and recorded videos from external sources. On pages where this is the case, it is not possible to influence the display of this content provided by third parties and it may not meet the applicable WCAG success criteria (e.g. 1.1.1 Non-text content, 1.2.2 Subtitles recorded).

In principle, the content in e-mails, in particular our newsletters, is offered in an accessible form, but the accessible presentation of this content depends on the respective e-mail client (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird) and is beyond our control.

Some of the images on our website are purely decorative. The content is occasionally, but not always, conveyed by accompanying text descriptions (e.g. for places of interest), so that the information is also accessible without images.

To support barrier-free information, Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH alternatively offers personal support via e-mail and telephone.

  • Disproportionate burden:

PDF documents (e.g. confirmations, documents) from our PMS are sometimes not created in an accessible format. At the moment, it is organizationally and economically unfeasible to adapt the accessibility of the PDFs from our current system.

The alternative text is missing for some images, meaning that this information is not accessible for screen reader users. This means that WCAG standard criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content) is not fulfilled properly. The adaptation of these documents represents a disproportionate burden in terms of the accessibility regulations.

  • This content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation:

Older documents and content that are not accessible are available on the website. As these were published before 28.06.2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act and no comprehensive change is currently planned for them.

The website contains documents and content from third-party providers (in particular other tour operators) that are neither developed, financed nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this content with the accessibility regulations. Our partners have been informed about the accessibility requirements.

Version of the accessibility declaration

This declaration was created on 25.06.2025.

The assessment of the website's compliance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 took the form of an assessment carried out by a third party (Google Lighthouse) in accordance with WCAG 2.1 in 2025.
