    Tivoli Park

Tall chestnut trees, wide paths and grassy areas as far as the eye can see. Tivoli Park is situated just a stone’s throw from the city centre with its fountains, mansions and photographic exhibitions. Pack your picnic basket, find a shady spot and experience the Tivoli magic.

    Lake Bled

A 45-minute drive or 1-hour train ride from Ljubljana takes you to the hiding place of one of Slovenia’s most beautiful natural gems. Lake Bled, with its island, isn’t just photogenic, but it’s also a magnet for nature lovers, particularly when summer is just around the corner. It’s rumoured that you can get the best original Bled vanilla slices here.

    Postojna Caves

If you want an excursion with depth, head to the caves of Postojna. The cave system is one of the largest in the world and if you’re lucky, you might encounter its unusual inhabitant: the cave salamander feels snug and cosy here in the underground stalactite cave. Driving time from the city centre: around 40 minutes by car or bus. With the train it is a 1,5-hour ride.
