Rummaging allowed

The bar at Schadekgasse 12 - directly opposite the Haus des Meeres - is Liebling's little sister. As far as the interior decoration is concerned, the bar has copied its big sister: vintage furniture all wildly thrown together. A special feature is the cuddly corner next to the spiral staircase. Simply take your time and enjoy this special location. 

An old proverb says: "Nibbling keeps your pockets empty". That is exactly what can happen on the Naschmarkt. Every Saturday from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm you are invited to join in the rummaging, bargaining and buying at this colourful flea market. Around 400 standholders sell old and rare things.  But watch out - as the true saying goes, "the early bird catches the worm." It is definitely worthwhile to get there early. 

The flea market in the Neubaugasse is the mainstreamer amongst the hipster flea markets. So it is worth pushing your way through the more than 300 standholders and 100,000 visitors. Twice a year - in spring and in autumn - it's time to leave the Mariahilfer Strasse and enjoy the second-hand atmosphere. In addition to many great offers you will also find delicious refreshments accompanied by musical entertainment. 

Substance Records has been situated on the Westbahnstrasse - Vienna's photography mile - since 2001. Here you can browse through 60,000 discs of various music genres. And the shop is very inviting too. Fans of avantgarde and free-jazz in particular like to spend a lot of time here as the owner are specialists in both these genres.
