Winter sports in the middle of the city

It doesn't have to be an expensive skiing trip.

Wien

  1. 1

    Ice Skating Rink Engelmann

A real insider amongst Vienna’s ice skating rinks.  On Engelmann’s artificial ice rink you can skate a relaxing round or two high above the roofs of Vienna. Of course there is also a shop and you can hire equipment there!

  2. 2

    Curling in the Museumsquartier

Once again this year Vienna’s Museumsquartier will be providing variety in Vienna’s winter sports programme with the MQ curling sheet. You can test your curling skills in the magnificent inner courtyard of the Museumsquartier amidst the numerous punch stalls.

  3. 3

Wiener Eislaufverein (Vienna Ice Skating Association)

The central location, the huge area of ice and the beautiful surroundings of the Wiener Eislaufverein (Vienna Ice Skating Association) make it an annual highlight in winter. Regular events transform the ice area into an ice disco and more. Definitely take a look at the event calendar!

  4. 4

    VCM winter runners' group

This running meeting is aimed specifically at people who are preparing for the Vienna City (half) marathon. The focus of the training is on technique and interval training. It starts mid-November, every Tuesday at 07:00 pm in the Prater. Especially in winter, this running club is a welcome motivation boost.
