Klimt. The Naked Truth

From November 2026, Palais Lobkowitz will open a new visitor experience centred on Gustav Klimt's key work ‘Nuda Veritas’ – a powerful commitment to artistic freedom and Klimt's break with the conventions of his time. A tour takes visitors back to Vienna around 1900, displays the original Klimt painting ‘Lady with a Purple Shawl’ for the first time in the Palais, and traces Klimt's path from court painter to visionary in a film. The highlight is the unveiling of ‘Nuda Veritas’ – an impressive moment in which Klimt's radical attitude can be experienced first-hand.
